UNISON Power were back at Glastonbury Festival this year, volunteering behind the bar, and raising money for the branch in the process.
Over £1,000 will be added to the branch coffers, which will be used for recruitment and organising activities. The team worked four six-hour shifts on the Village Inn Bar, which was in close proximity to the Pyramid stage, so it was extremely busy.
There was still plenty of time to take in the amazing sounds, sights and delights the festival had to offer. As well watching watching amazing bands and artists, members of the team took part in political and environmental discussions, got creative in the craft fields, had a massage in the healing fields, and danced like no one was watching over in the late night area!
It was another magical Glastonbury experience, and the team can’t wait to return in 2024.
