UNISON Power Branch have launched a recruitment drive by urging their members, ‘Don’t Keep UNISON a Secret’.
Branch Secretary and Membership Officer Vakas Bhatti and his team decided they had to adapt to the rise in numbers of staff working from home and not become overly reliant on workplace stalls as a means of recruitment.
So, working with regional support staff the branch created a digital first recruitment campaign based on existing members spreading the word, and highlighting the positive reasons to join UNISON.
The branch have also added an extra incentive of a £15 Love2shop voucher for both the new member and the person who referred them.
The branch are sending this out digitally via email, posting it on their social media, and are handing out flyers to staff in workplaces.
