University of Nottingham students’ union sign agreement

University of Nottingham Students Union’ (UoNSU) has officially recognised UNISON as the trade union to represent the interests of its staff team.

Locally elected reps will negotiate with UoNSU about pay and other working conditions, as well as representing UNISON members with individual issues such as disability, sickness or maternity leave.

University of Nottingham branch chair Vicki Morris, who signed the agreement on UNISON’s behalf said: “We are delighted to be recognised as the union for UoNSU career staff employees. We believe our shared values will lead to a constructive relationship that will benefit both the students’ union and its staff.”

CEO of UoNSU Daryl Ormerod said: “I’m really very excited for what we can achieve together, working with UNISON, so that we can be and do better with and for our staff team, and ultimately for our student members.”
