Stars in our Schools: Hidden Hero Awards 2025

Every year UNISON holds an annual national celebration for school support staff and we want your nominations!

From 24 to 28 November 2025, UNISON East Midlands will be celebrating school support staff across the region with our ‘Hidden Hero Awards’.

We want to say thank you to those who have worked hard to make your school a safe and happy place for children to learn.

We then intend to come into your school, present your colleague with a shiny award, a £50 voucher and to make a big fuss of them.

Nominations are now open! You’ve got until 10 October to tell us who deserves to win.
