The Government has announced cuts to both the national skills budget and the funding for the Mayoral Combined Authorities’ skills budgets in 2025. This comes on the back of cuts to adult education funding since 2010 which have resulted in 7 million fewer qualifications.
UNISON, and the unions that merged to create it, have a very long history of supporting the education of our members and we are campaigning for not just a reversal of these cuts, but a restoration to 2010 levels.
