UNISON is committed to supporting members’ learning and development. Not only do we provide our own courses but we work with like-minded organisations to promote their free courses which we know will benefit members.
Distance Learning with Leicester College
Leicester College are able to offer a large number of free Level 2 qualifications. Courses range from 6-18 weeks and are certified by the TQUK and NCFE awarding bodies. You can register through UNISON by following these steps.
Step 1 – Have a look at the list of courses and choose one that you’d like to start with
Step 2 – Check the college’s website for more detail
This will take you to Leicester’s site which searches for all their ‘Distance Learning courses’. Please ignore any that don’t highlight ‘Distance Learning’. Click on the course you are interested in to find out what’s involved and how long it will take.
Step 3 – Enrol on the course
When you have decided which course you want follow this link to enrol. You are entering into a relationship directly with Leicester College, not UNISON, and all queries will be with the college.
Please note that if you live outside the East Midlands, in an area where education budgets are devolved, Leicester College may not be able to offer this training for free.
