UNISON recommends Cadent staff accept 2025 pay offer

UNISON is urging all members employed on Cadent staff terms and conditions to vote in favour of the latest pay offer covering the 2025-26 period.

After constructive negotiations between UNISON, other joint staff unions, and the employer, Cadent has made a formal one-year pay offer of a 4% increase in base pay, effective from 1 July 2025 through to 30 June 2026. This uplift will also apply to relevant allowances in line with existing terms and conditions.

The offer represents a fair settlement during challenging economic times and follows UNISON’s pay claim submission and determined representation on behalf of members. Crucially, the deal protects your current terms and conditions for the duration of the agreement, with no changes being made without full negotiation.

UNISON is fully recommending this offer to members for acceptance.

UNISON national officer Ed Bratt said: “We’ve worked hard to secure a fair deal for Cadent staff. This pay offer protects your terms and delivers a real-terms boost to your income.

“It’s important that you make your voice heard – please take a moment to vote.”

A consultative ballot is now live and will remain open until Tuesday 17 June 2025.

Staff eligible to vote can do so by clicking the link below. You will need your UNISON membership number to verify your vote.
