E.ON UK Operating Model – Update from Michael Lewis

Following the announcement from the company on Wednesday 8 July, which outlined changes to the future operating model and organisation within E.ON UK, we want to assure you that we will be in regular dialogue with the company to understand how this will affect our members.

Concerns have been raised around the transition to E.ON Next, especially around job security.  A number of rumours have been circulating since the announcement was made, and it would be advisable to ignore these rumours and rely on the information which is briefed by both the company and the trade unions.

It is important to note, that taking a role within E.ON Next will not affect either your length of service or your pension. An FAQ document is in the process of being drawn up, which will be available to view on Connect, and this will hopefully answer a number of questions and queries.

If you have any concerns, then please contact your UNISON representative, and we will endeavour to answer these queries or raise them with the company on your behalf.

It has never been more important to be part of a trade union, so if you are reading this and aren’t a member, then you can sign up using the link below  or email me direct and I can send you an electronic application form.  It would also be great if you could share this with your colleagues who may not be members, and encourage them to join.
