About UNISON and the Role
UNISON is the UK’s largest public service trade union, representing over 1.3 million workers across the public, private and voluntary sectors. At a time when rising living costs and pressure on public services are impacting our members like never before, we are fighting for fair pay, decent working conditions, and dignity in the workplace.
Our Lincolnshire Health Branch is now recruiting for a Branch Support & Workplace Representative – an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the working lives of our members.
In this dynamic role, you’ll provide one-to-one support for UNISON members, carry out workplace visits across Lincolnshire, and handle individual casework. You’ll be a key point of contact between members and the branch, helping to resolve issues and uphold our values in every workplace you visit.
In addition to your representative duties, you’ll also support the branch’s day-to-day admin and coordination – helping to keep everything running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is passionate about supporting others and believes in the power of collective voice. Ideally, you’ll bring:
-
Experience as a workplace rep or similar role in a union or community organisation
-
Strong communication skills and confidence in supporting others one-to-one
-
A good understanding of trade union values and UNISON’s mission
-
The ability to work independently and travel across Lincolnshire
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their trade union journey and build on their organising and representation experience.
What We Offer
-
A salary based on Agenda for Change Band 4 – £26,529 to £29,114
-
Generous annual leave – starting at 27 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service
-
Access to travel expenses for business travel around Lincolnshire
-
A hybrid working model – offering flexibility to work from home and our branch base
-
The opportunity to make a real difference to NHS staff across the region
You’ll also be employed using Lincolnshire Community Health NHS Trust’s terms and conditions and policies – bringing the reassurance of a public service employer.
