As you can see from the photos, there’s so much we can do.  UNISON Learning is about providing opportunities and pleasure.  For some it provides a chance for better pay, for others it’s about comfort in difficult times. Some examples of what has worked before:

  • Stalls across workplaces
  • Wellbeing walks
  • Author visits
  • Craft events
  • Book swaps
  • Celebrate success
  • Enrolments to courses
  • Talks/Webinars

Available resources and support

Each branch organising an event can order a box of materials to support this.  This will include:

  • Posters for upcoming courses
  • Various literature (See below to print your own)
  • Some promotional items where possible

To order these please contact Gavin McCann (g.mccann@unison.co.uk)

In addition, a region-wide member learning survey will be sent to all members during the week.

Create your own branch learning newsletter:

Below is the new template for 2025. If you would like the editable version of this please contact e.smith-gibbs@unison.co.uk or g.mccann@unison.co.uk

This is still being developed.  If your branch would like one please let us know with wording and pictures for Page 2.  If you are confident using Canva we can send you a link.

Learning Charter

We will once again be asking employers to sign our Learning Charter.  This is available to edit via Canva or you can also contact us to edit for you.
