A county that doesn’t work for us all, is a county that doesn’t work

On 1st April 2021 the eight existing County, District and Borough councils in Northamptonshire will be abolished and two new councils will be formed; West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire.

Council services in Northamptonshire need to work. Over the last few months, it has been clear how much we all rely on our local services whether we are residents, businesses, the staff who work in those services, or all of the above.

The difficulties in the management of Northamptonshire County Council are well known. The forming of two new Councils must provide Northamptonshire with real change. In these uncertain times the retention and recruitment of committed well qualified staff is crucial to delivering high quality services in Northamptonshire.

A county that doesn’t work for us all, is a county that doesn’t work.

That’s why we’re launching our ‘Northamptonshire Needs to Work’ campaign.
